Farmstay in Central West NSW  (Orange / Molong area)

Summer 2011

 Hello,
We hope this page will be of interest to any one who wants to know  what is happening at "Old Redbank". We aim to make it interesting for our regular guests and to anyone who may be considering a visit to our farm near Molong (Orange area) in Central West, NSW. If you have any comments on our Web page please email us at webpage@farmholiday ..........we do appreciate your feedback. 

It looks like being a promising season at this stage, although it is starting to dry out and we would like to see some more rain before the heat really hits, to ensure feed and water supplies throughout the summer. Our cattle and sheep are doing very well and we are appreciating not having to be handfeeding stock. Our cows all finished calving, and ewes finished lambing in early October and due to the good conditions the lambs and calves are doing very well and growing quickly.

Much as we would like to see more rain we do hope that the farmers who are needing to get crops harvested can have a dry spell during the harvest period.

Apart from the farm itself, we have done some work on the cottage over the last few months. The bathroom has been completely redone, and the kitchen renovated. We have had new carpet laid throughout the cottage. In addition to that we have done a bit of work on the garden at the cottage.
