Farmstay in Central West NSW  (Orange / Molong area)

Summer/Autumn 2010

 Hello,
We hope this page will be of interest to any one who wants to know  what is happening at "Old Redbank". We aim to make it interesting for our regular guests and to anyone who may be considering a visit to our farm near Molong (Orange area) in Central West, NSW. If you have any comments on our Web page please email us at webpage@farmholiday ..........we do appreciate your feedback. 

After a dry winter and spring we finally have had reasonable rains through the Summer leading into Autumn which should allow for some more feed growth, and sowing of crops. It has been lovely to see some water in the creeks and our dams but we still need more. We are hoping for some really good seasons ahead as we think we must be just about due for it.

We start shearing, for about 6 days around the 25th March. Our heifers (cows having their first calves) are due to start calving in mid July and the older cows will calve in August. Our ewes will be lambing mid April and we will also have ewes lambing in late August.
