Old Redbank is a family owned and worked farm of 498 hectares (1240 acres), near Molong (35 km from Orange) in the Central West of NSW, Australia. We run merino sheep (wool production) and also breed Dohne sheep (a dual purpose wool/meat sheep). We run Angus cattle for beef production and grow a small amount of crops such as wheat and oats.

A farm holiday could be the perfect holiday for your family. A farm offers the perfect holiday venue for a family, with plenty of space for the children to occupy themselves the 'old-fashioned' way. Whether you wish to just relax and do nothing, kick a ball around, enjoy leisurely (or energetic) walks, maybe even taking a picnic lunch. You may even wish to take a drive to visit many of the nearby attractions. You may even be able to observe some of the day-to day farm work (if practical). In the evening (dependent on the weather) you have the opportunity to observe the starlit sky.

For the couples seeking a quiet getaway from day-to-day life as the ideal holiday, this could be the holiday you have been dreaming of. Whether you wish to enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the verandah in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening (or maybe both), take peaceful walks, delight in the brilliant starry sky at night, or do absolutely nothing, you will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.

One of the bonuses of staying on a working farm is that your stay may include feeding animals such as chooks, pet sheep and other animals or collecting eggs. As we only rear lambs or calves with bottles if it is required this activity only occurs from time to time.

A holiday at Old Redbank offers the advantage of staying on a real working farm where we do try to allow observation of day-to-day work on the farm. However, we are sure that you will appreciate that there are times where it is not practical or safe for visitors to be in the vicinity of activities.
